These are two recordings of me I made last spring. Not a real harpsichord but I use harpsichord technique.
First piece is set of variations on secular song about the god Mars by a 17th century composer named Sweelinck

This is a strange piece by a late 16th century composer named Gesualdo. It's similar to a toccata so the rhythm is meant to be taken fairly free. It has a lot of unprepared accented dissonance and chromaticism which was unusual for the time. Gesualdo is also famous for gruesomely murdering his wife and his wife's lover.
