RE: OMFG! We Need a Music Thread, Don't We?

A really well *known* balkan song.
Ederlezi is actually Saint-George's day, is also celebrated in other countries as Hıdrellez, Hıdr Nebi or Hıdr İlyas, in my country too, and in the Balkans, it's known as Ederlezi to Gpysies.

SOAD are Armenian. Klic Mehmet is Turkish. You do the Math.
In case you don't want to read the Wikipedia link, there's been a lot of bad blood between the Turks and the Armenians, especially due to events that happened during WW1. And that's all I will say about that.

Sure the band members are Armenian but they all grew up in the US and have an American culture. They're American, basically.

Besides, Armenians are great! Not like those Turks, pfft.

Indeed, we are even greater.
But seriously, in musical terms, SOAD is pretty horrible.
Their lyrics are pseudo-intellectual and wannabe underground. They also make shitty nu-metal, and have contracts with the same labels that produce stuff for justin bieber, which is pretty much the polar opposite of being underground.

But they're catchy. It's the kind of mainstream music I can tolerate.
