How seculars are exploiting the youth
#21
RE: How seculars are exploiting the youth
Yet we outgrew the oppressive religion of Kepler's age and managed to realise his dream of scientific freedom. In science, the opinions and beliefs of individual scientists do not matter; all that counts are the discoveries that further human knowledge.

Thank you for visiting my blog though.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Undecided

don't you understand???

The primary reason why Kepler was so ambitious in his scientific pursuits was mainly to get closer to God.

Newton was also very religious. I don't see any atheist scientists contributing more than Newton.

All I see today, are corrupt atheists destroying our currency and destroying our economy by conning and deceiving poor people.

It's easy to destroy, hard to create.

Don't you understand (silly question, I apologise - of course you don't understand) it makes no damn difference why any scientist does what they do - as I said in another thread, the astronomer George Ellery Hale built what was then the world's largest telescope on the advice of a green elf that he believed would visit him at night and chat with him. None of that matters. All that matters are the theories they discover, the knowledge they impart to the world. Enough with the red herrings - are you going to answer the direct question you have now been asked twice? What does the video you posted have to do with secularism?

Exactly what part of that video damn secularization?
Your video-related gripes (whatevet they are) appear to be toward one or more of consumorism, corperatism, capitalism, and government corruption. Not one of those things is related to secularism.

those terms I highlighted....are the result of atheism/secularization
these problems started when governments around the world begin to run their economy based on the principles of Keynesian Economics

Keynesian Economics was developed by Keynes, who was an atheist. He supported eugenic laws.

you just don't want to accept this

Whether I accept it or not is irrelevant.
Whether or not this is all true is relevant.
Those terms you've highlighted have nothing to do with secularism or religion. If you've ever walked into one of these:

... then you'll understand what I'm talking about.
That's a texas megachurch. Otherwise known for being where capitalism and religion meet and become one. As such, your "arguement" for fiat-based currency being the direct result of secularism is utterly and completely wrong.
Your arguement is not only wrong, but not even logical. You haven't logically connected atheism and consumorism in any meaningful way in order to draw the conclusion that atheism is the problem.

I think those guys disagree with you.

Yeah. Who has ever heard of Einstein, Samuel Clemons, Richard Dawkins, Issac Asimov, Stephan Hawking, Benjimin Franklin, or Thomas Edison?
So what if they were religious? It doesn't make their work religious in nature nor does it help any religious arguements in proving the existence of god or any particular holy book.

If that's what you see, then you're blaming the wrong people.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan

I find it funny you call your blog Kepler's dream

Yet, Kepler is one of the most religious scientists that ever lived.

And people say that atheists are communists. . .
Not that there's anything wrong with communists, but I find it funny that the original poster is complaining about trademarks of capitalism and is linking them to secularism, when most people who argue with us on this forum think that capitalism is a victory for religion.

If you don't think Islam Terrorists' usage of suicide are justified, then stand up and punch Islam Terrorists in face. If you think the woman rights abuse is immoral, then stand up!

Sometimes, war are necessary to kick Islam Terrorists out of the power.

So strapping a bomb around your waist and exploding it in a plaza full of innocents isn't suicide? I must confess that the distinction escapes me.

I'm actually spreading religio-phobia(a revulsion of all religions) though I do find Islam particularly revolting.

And after all the evil that has been perpetrated in the name of your pedophile prophet( the stonings, the murders, the batshit crap that the imams vomit up, etc, etc) to come here and complain about the marketing strategies of some toy companies is particularly hypocritical.

I'm not even going to address this ignorant, muslim apologist directly, because he's a fucking idiot. I tell ya what, though. Every time someone like him comes trolling the boards, I get this weird urge to show my tits off.
