A genuine national (nay, global) treasure. I have to admit I saw the title of this thread and thought "Oh no, don't say he's gone as well". So true. To be fair, it didn't need the intellectual calibre of Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens to pound those other two into the ground. It was a bit like watching Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao squashing a couple of spiders (and yes I did have to google for those names). I'm sure all of us could watch the debate and come up with refutations for every single tired point Widdecombe and black dude raised.
