The new atheists and The war on History

RE: The new atheists and The war on History
Hmmm yeah, when religionist nutcases insist that the earth is only 6000-10000 years old, created specially for us by an all-omni-shittain, that aparently had no competence in his works, then punishes his creation for its own incompetence, and in the sudden sends his son, that was actually him to sacrifice to himself to cover up the mess it made... If you people think that is history, no wonder it needs to be rewritten.

Here are a few interesting points against your argument.

A. You are using a Hollywood movie as an argument that atheists are trying to change history. Newsflash, Hollywood has been fucking up history since before they were allowed to speak ill of Hitler in a movie.

B. What does her age have to do with why she was murdered?

C. Alei is right. It wasn't some papyrus. There were words on it.

D. She was murdered. Argue that, please. You are two months too late for strawmen to be in fashion.

Interestingly, one feature of the "War on History" is really flawed.
Yes, the quote on the billboard was faked, but here are just a few other Jefferson quotes with their original sources:

Difference of opinion is advantageous in religion. The several sects perform the office of a Censor morum over each other. Is uniformity attainable? Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth. Let us reflect that it is inhabited by a thousand millions of people. That these profess probably a thousand different systems of religion. That ours is but one of that thousand. That if there be but one right, and ours that one, we should wish to see the 999 wandering sects gathered into the fold of truth. But against such a majority we cannot effect this by force. Reason and persuasion are the only practicable instruments. To make way for these, free enquiry must be indulged; and how can we wish others to indulge it while we refuse it ourselves? (Notes on Virginia, Query XVII)

To the corruptions of Christianity I am indeed opposed; but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus himself. I am a Christian, in the only sense he wished any one to be; sincerely attached to his doctrines, in preference to all others; ascribing to himself every human excellence; & believing he never claimed any other. (Letter to Benjamin Rush 12 April 1803)

Better yet, look here.

And even atheists knew that Columbus didn't disprove the Earth's flatness. That was done in Ancient Greece.

In reality we have no conclusive evidence for this, because the last pages of his interrogation that is the last months of the interogation, disappeared after the Napoleon’s failed conquest of Europe.

According to Angelo Mercati, that discovered and published the summary document of the Bruno’s trial and condemnation, Bruno’s crimes and condemnation were clearly of a religious nature, no matter what his views of the structure of the physical cosmos.

Who gives a shit? He was murdered by the church for not agreeing with the church.

Fact: The "Church" made itself look bad throughout history. No one, not atheists, Jews, Buddhists, etc., needs to alter history to make Christianity look tyrannical. There is no war on history. Seriously, your video absolutely sucks. At one point, I'm not even sure if you are arguing what they are saying or just making a video of it.

The atonement or the the "penal substitution" doctrine was never taught in the Early Church, it is man-made doctrine that has developed gradually since 1098
Human sacrifice is forbidden even in the old Testament
Leviticus 18:21

The Schismatics and Heterodox Catholic Church speaks only for the western Catholic Church!

Ahem, all religions are man-made, you will deny this ofc, because you really want your flavour of god to exist.

Oh, yes, your church is the one true church™. You should take this on with other theists, Its always fun to see theists at eachother's throats about witch bullshit fairy tale carries more weight. ROFLOL

Again, so what? You are trying to argue that atheists are trying to change history. Instead of wandering off the course of conversation you laid, why don't you stick to your original point, as you have yet to sufficiently argue it. Then, we can talk about who speaks for who and why killing an old lady is somehow better than killing a young lady. Does that work for you?
