I strongly suspect most people don't give a flying teacake. Adrian isn't, I'm not, no one else I know is so I'm guessing you're wrong even when it comes to those who have thought about it.

An unsupportable assertion I think.

Why haven't NASA themselves come forward and talked about it? This would be the biggest discovery for them, they would get a load of media attention, and they would get a load of money for it.

They have a higher stature than the people who post here.
Does observation have anything to do with science?
Why do governments hide facts and the truth?

Exactly, good point.
Also why wouldn't they aliens try to contact they earth for an instant? Why would NASA cover it up? As Adrian said they would gain more at tell they're discovery then hiding it.

1. Perhaps they are, but you fail to understand.

You are equating a scientific institute with a government. They are in no way shape or form the same.

Also there is other then NASA that explore the universe like the ESA and every country have space programme researching space. Even though they co operate do I find it hard to beieve that NASA could achive to keep such an disovery of intellegent life hidden from the other organisations.
Plus the other organisations would probably make such disocvery sooner or later so why should NASA hide it from them?
