Idolatry

RE: Idolatry
Your all powerful creator just sits on it's ass to wait until such a time as we happen to come across these rules ourselves, or a time in which they would be acceptable, and then gives it his seal of approval? Useless as tits on a boar.

One thing I can definitely agree on is "christianity as an evolutionary force". Anything that offs that many people is putting some sort of selection pressure on the herd. What a pathetic way to go though, selected for ignorance due to violence at the hands of the ignorant. Even in this regard your religion fails to be special, they've all had their time at the trigger.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Right idea, in the right place, at the right time, how else do you think you affect a mostly causal world. The right horse shoe nail in the right place. Consider the pace of our advance, the dinosaurs had 400 million years and didn't even get as far as toilet paper.

You got a problem with survival of the fittest.

Now I have to go.

None of the rules Moses got applied to Abraham but the rules Abraham got applied to Moses. If on the other hand God had tried to impose JC s rules on either of the previous they would have been as popular as a fart in a elevator.

Wait... Really? God's laws depend on popularity? You're the second person I've ever hear imply this, both in the last couple of weeks. This "popularity doctrine" is a new one to me.

I find it far more likely that scripture came from the mind of man, and changed as society's values (and the interests of the priest class) changed.

@Hop.
Yep, so, there was no reason to respond at all was there? You're trying to salvage the garbage you were peddling by restating it. I called bullshit the first go round, so, I guess, bullshit again. Every time one of you opens your mouth your god gets that much smaller.

Well, when dealing with fundie assholes there is a wall of stupidity 8 miles high to get over.

Here's another fucking statue they worship....and probably not a catholic in sight.

Of course not. This version of the commandments has one against graven images, which the Catholic ten commandments do not.

Remember when that Alabama judge Roy Moore moved in a statue of the Ten Commandments into the Alabama state court building under cover of night? After the court rulings that it was unconstitutional, a large group of Christians were protesting its removal. One of them was even shown on the news yelling "Get your hands off our god!" Funny how they seem to be worshiping the statue itself, which was a graven image of Moses' tablets containing the "no graven images" commandment.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
