There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. What exactly do you define as Atheism 2.0 then?

Please explain, Summer.
If you don't think feminists are ridiculous, you haven't been around any die-hard feminists. There are feminists who assert that all men are evil and need to be shot; there are feminists who think that all the world's problems are directed at them; and there are feminists who complain very loudly when men are sexist, but seem to operate under the delusion that sexism only works one way.
I'm an egalitarian. I'll fight for women's rights, I'll fight for men's rights, I'll fight for gay rights, and I'll fight for straight rights. Everyone is equal, and the sooner people understand that and realize that everyone is getting screwed over, the better.

I explained what I meant by it. It's atheism, except "people need religion, and it is good for society". I can't find the links explaining it anymore. I always thought it was some kind of fake movement, but I guess it is coming back again.

Again, what I took out of it was not that people need religion, but that people do need certain things that religion is very good at conveying and that certain aspects of religion (which don't need a religious construct to be used) don't have to be discarded just because they're associated with religion.
Shit, they cherry pick their bible, why can't we cherry pick the good things out too?

I ran across some separatist feminists at university, fucking scary they were too. If you dared laugh at their boiler suit they would deck you.
Quote:Intercourse (1987) is a radical feminist analysis of sexual intercourse in literature and society, written by Andrea Dworkin. Intercourse is often said to argue that "all heterosexual sex is rape", based on the line from the book that says "violation is a synonym for intercourse."

I didn't disagree with everything he said, but I was a little uncomfortable with his wording..

Me too; do not accept his hard atheist position.
