This kind of false positivity sums up what I think is bad about capitalism (I don't think capitalism is all bad). Oprah peddles similar guff about obtaining through positive actions. To me it stinks of achieving more than you need to. You sacrifice yourself; your personality; what makes you 'you' and grab what's there for the taking for the unscrupulous. It sickens me the management class I know who talk of getting jobs in areas they have absolutely no expertise in, just because they talk the talk and can carry off lies with people who consider themselves better than the general populous.

If the content of "The Secret" was true, G-Mark, you'd have left this forum many posts ago, courtesy of my desires. If I were an admin I'd be tightening the rules on what is considered obnoxious, annoying spam.

As for "The Secret" itself, I tend to agree with everybody else here. It's garbage. A positive attitude can certainly bring you what you want, but you will have to work for it in most cases. The universe isn't often in the business of prayer answering.

Im sure your 'want' will be made true some day. Maybe there is more to the picture than meets the eye. Maybe my 'want' will come around one day too.
