"How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones against the rock," (Psalm 137:9).
Below is the take from one of the apologetics.

In a nutshell:
1) Just because the bible says so does not mean God approves it. (I thought the bible was the word of God )
2) You cannot judge God on his morality. Even if he commits atrocities, humans have no right to judge him on that.
-----
Actually - we DO indeed have a right to judge - because the god is claimed to be ALL GOOD and ALL JUST. If the evidence is to the contrary - we can reject those claims.
However- even if you think that this particular statement may not have the approval of a god (NONE actually do in any writings - gods are myth) - one cannot overlook the many actions OF THE GOD in the bible that were unspeakably immoral.
In every population - there are children - from new born infants to very young children who have NOT yet reached the age of reason - and responsibility. They cannot actually "sin" as even established by the religions themselves - what can a 2 month old do - to deserve to be Drowned - or killed in a "passover" - both supposed acts of the god itself - not of any human. In fact - in ancient times - where the life expectancy was below 30 - these children (The catholic church says that age 7 is the age of reason) - represent about 20 percent of the population.
To KILL them in a flood or in the "passover" is simply murder - pure and simple.
THE only good thing is that the stories of the Old Testament are largely false - just fairy tales. Archeology has established that the the Hebrews did not even exist at the claimed time of most of them. No moses - no abraham - the battle of Jericho did not happen - no adam and eve - I could go on. THE hebrews were not in bondage to Egypt either - no Exodus.
So - these stories are all nonsense - but then without the old testament - there is NO basis for the new one.
