What's The Harm?

What's The Harm?
I thought I'd share this, since I often bang on about the harm caused by pseudoscience...

I just didn't realise how bad it was at times Sad

Fun but depressing reminder of the danger a lack of critical thinking can cause.

Just from the stories they were able to find: 368,379 people killed, 306,096 injured and over $2,815,931,000 in economic damages.
Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.

Did she not notice the giant metal tracks on the ground? Or the many road signs that were more than likely there...

I once had my GPS tell me to turn onto a road that didn't exist. It was late at night and really dark because it was a rural route with no street lights. I always use my eyes before I turn when my GPS says so though, so I simply didn't take the turn and it recalculated and told me to turn at the next road, which did exist.

"People should be more careful with them - you never know where they might lead you."

Isn't that the purpose?

At the rate things are going it won't long before the DVLA has a 'GPS part of the practical test' to force future drivers of our roads to develop a little common-sense in the face of a blatant hazard and avoid over-reliance on the technology.

Either that or ban them altogether, I'm in favor of both.

I think stupidity has always been a factor in evolution, "Hey big orange kitty! You are so cute! Gulp!" no semen spraying for you!

Darwinian...
Everyone listed on the website who had harmed themself though stupidity, well, hopefully reduced the shallow end of the genepool a little bit.
