So, Lahni's granny was telling her a fairy tale, something about pixies or some such, and she leans in at the point in the story where the narrator asks "you believe in fairies, don't you?", and my three year old daughter smugly replies "I've never seen one, they only live in stories Granny".
I'm so goddamned proud of her..lol. After all the shitty diapers and kicks to the nuts, finally, the payout!

My daughter annihilated Santa with the intellectual equivalent of a well placed AA battery on an unsuspecting target. I tried to lie to her, I tried hard, she wasn't buying what I was selling. Lahni-Do doesn't believe in winter fairies with white coats (we have a different Santa) anymore than the garden fairies in the story.
