Strippers, Prostitutes, and Respectability

Shit, I log off for 12 hours to go do life things and this topic has expanded by ten pages. WHAT THE FUCK. D:
Regarding prostitution, I was just thinking about this the other day (great minds think alike, or are we all just horny?). I was thinking of how some people don't want legalized prostitution because they hate finding used condoms on the street in front of their house, hate seeing the prostitutes walking up & down the street, having johns drive by, etc. But if it were all legalized, they could set up a brothel somewhere and all these problems of street hookers would likely go away. Who wants to walk the street when you could just have customers arrive at a building, go upstairs to a comfortable bed or whatever, and do business that way? Much better and safer than having to go down a dark alley, or get in a stranger's car and find a dark place.
In Nevada where brothels are legal, do they really have any problems with them? I think they'd have fewer problems than where it's illegal but still happens anyway. And it's not like if they made prostitution legal that a bunch of women are just going to start selling themselves. Sure, some may, but that's their business. Who's to say that it's "wrong" for a woman to engage in the sex trade anyway? I think if a woman enjoys sex with multiple partners, she should be allowed to make a business out of it. It's not like some prude is going to turn into a prostitute just because it becomes legal to do so.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

That's what I think people fear about drugs as well - once something becomes legal, that makes more people inclined to do it. I suppose that makes sense in one way, but in another it makes it much easier to "control" the ones that already ARE doing it.

I could argue a few of them but I don't have the time today, frankly, and I know we're reasonably on the same side anyway. Btw, I need to know where you'll be when you come down here. Clearly not at a strip club or brothel. That narrows it down quite a bit in Carolina doesn't it?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Hell naw. We got cotton and tobacco fields, and plenty of bars and lotto joints!

I don't think there is a single thing I said here that anyone actually disagrees with, except maybe Vae. People don't dream that their children will grow up to be in the sex-trafficking business. Because I don't want my daughter to be a stripper I would never see one? Sure, I probably wouldn't let one touch me, but that hardly has anything to do with distaste against them in particular. I have to admit that my opinion is not being helped by this thread.
I think he was teasing, love, and mostly me because of my "podunk" state.
