OMG you guys get offended by hillbilly! haha! Actually the women I fucked in downtown Philly are more disreputable than where I grew up in northeast Pennsylvania.

<---Kentucky Hillbilly. No, though, I don't think I find it as offensive as a prostitute might find your blanket generalizations. They might call you the typical john, externalizing your shame for what you nevertheless did by painting her as the lesser half of the equation, feeling sorry for the poor girl who's fucking your brains out, who you will pay, and then stumble off dirty with your head hung low for having been associated with such a disreputable creature.
But hey, hillbillys and niggers, and whores, right? It's okay to spout off garbage about those lesser human beings than yourself. The Buddha approves.

I object to whore being painted by the same brush as hillbilly. Whore is not a slur. It is another word for prostitute. There are people who use it derogatorily. However, the term itself is not derogatory. Shit, prostitute isn't exactly a rated G word, either.
“The whore sits shaking her legs … Such a child, such a child, she says … these things should be forbidden by law. But she watches every move eagerly. In her trade, one can’t afford to feel excitement, whores live only when they’ve learned to sell their cunts and not their passions … but I can see emotion coming into her body, her voice is already thick with it.” ~ Henry Miller

My opinion in a nutshell: I think it should be legal BUT I do generally find it disreputable. I think it is not healthy. There is a reason why most women in this profession have low self esteem, come from hillbilly families and are basically vain and shallow when it comes to their personality.
Of all the honorable things for a woman to make a living in this world like a teacher, doctor, nurse, or even a waitress, a prostitute is definitely at the bottom of our culture and society. This also applies to men. I believe in moral relativism but men and women in these positions are usually not in a good place. I feel it should be legal though because the corporate government has no right to tell us how to live, or destroy our lives.
You probably said what I wanted to say in a more..or less, open tongue.
I'm not sure about the personality of the prostitutes you've met, but they were from poorer sections of society(with few or no family members in the city they lived in) or from poor countries like Ukraine and Moldovia.

I don't think it's disreputable. If a man or woman want to show off their body, and they consent to it, why stop them? Same thing for sex.

I am just saying that the majority of people in the position of selling their bodies are of low economic status, use drugs such as heroin and have shitloads of emotional baggage. It is NOT a reputable profession in any way is it? I am not moralizing, just stating statistical fact. Yes there are call girls who work in Las Vegas who make shitloads of cash but that is the exception. I actually liked the few prostitutes I paid to have sex with. They were actually good people I kind of felt sorry for. Trust me, I don't feel any guilt or shame in it at all. I am a lover not a fighter lol. I have been with many different types of women (for free). I would choose a woman to marry who has self respect and dignity, character and equipoise. I am an enlightened one... but I like to fuck just as much as the run of the mill drone. I am dating a hot hispanic woman right now who could be the one I finally settle down with. She is a beautiful person INSIDE and out!

I think we're missing what the word disreputable means here. It is not "do I disagree with it." Disreputable means it has a bad reputation or brings down the reputation of those who do it. Both are true. In that way, it is disreputable. Again, whether it deserves that label is another story.
