I like this thread! I kind of want to participate. On my iMac, I have FaceTime. Is that something that can be used to record things? I wonder what else can be.

Have iMovie? Probably the best innate mac video recording/editing software. Alternately, there are a bunch of third party options you might look into. I don't use any, and am therefore unable to vouch for them... you could use also use quicktime to do it (as it's already on your computer)
Spotlight for quicktime player, open her up, look to the top left of the screen and click 'file' (to the left of 'edit'), and the first option down should be 'New Movie Recording' or something very similar.
I'll try to make a video in a bit with my phone. I am actually curious as to what type of accent I have, because I grew up in the South but am always asked what type of accent I have because it sounds so different... so... yeah.
