People believing that they are experts because they read a summarised article compromising of years of data aside, I would love to see the actual ratio of bullshit to truth within the internet.

Stupidity.
It is like me taking Phil's advice above that of my own medical practitioner ( 6-8+ years in medicine) I know so little but enough to question what the fuck "specialists" I consult IRL

Our recent influx of theists would do well to keep this in mind as they decide to argue cosmology or invoke quantum this and that. I acknowledge that I know very little about these subjects, and I don't pretend to use them as justifications for my beliefs. I wish theists could do the same.

I laugh whenever someone tries to use quantum ANYTHING as a basis for their metaphysical bullshit spewings. The most learned scientists in the world- FUCKING ALBERT EINSTEIN couldn't wrap his head around quantum theory, what makes Average Joe/Jane think they can even begin to GRASP at the complexities of quantum entanglement and quantum theory and quantum particulate sciences?? Hubris at its worst.

The science channel isn't science either:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlRjBdw1FDQ There was a lot of bullshit in this series and it was very popular.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

I guess there's a lot of people who haven't heard the "I know it's true because I read it on the internet" meme.

The internet is the largest library ever conceived of, trouble is, all the books are on the floor.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
