You 'believe' in all this, that doesn't make any of it true. Yeah, you are deluded.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I m saved AND walking with Him but thank you for pointing that out. My stepfather is Jewish/atheist.
I hit rock bottom with addictions and the loss of my son that's when I realized there had to be more to life than my own selfish pleasures.
And wow you guys how many times do I have to tell you I'm not a man! Wife, mother, woman.

So, that was your catalyst to become a christian?

I thought, you said that we were atheists because we were in pain, but it looks like you might've become Christian (erm, found jesus, developed a relationship with him) because of some pain in your life.

That's interesting.

You'll say that it was by the power of God/Jesus that you were saved from such a low state, but i see this change in you to be your own work in order to deal with the pain in your life.

Ah, I see. Addictions is something you can over come yourself, you don't need to believe in some imaginary friend to make you feel better. Also, losing a child, there's nothing more painful. Is this the source of your anger and why you turned to religion?

I'm 30. If my stepdad wants to say who he is he can but I will not open the door to hurtful words toward him for referring me here.
My child is not dead, I lost him to CPS.

Still, your addictions and you losing your son to CPS. Was that the source of your anger? Why would you think that we being atheists would feel the same pain and anger? That's what I'm trying to understand.

I decided to choose God when I saw the peaceful loving structured lives of Christians who I used to avoid and call Bible thumpers. I was done playing with my life as if it were meaningless and empty. Jesus died for me out of His love cleaning up my act was the least I could do for Him and the reward has been greatly multiplied. I now have my beautiful daughter and a wonderful husband. I am so blessed.
Ace, from personal communications with many of you recently not out of speculation.
