I know it is - part of my family actually settled there for a time in the 17-1800's and I wanted to do a little research into that while I was there and see the Royal Gardens in bloom... [sigh]

I hope you're not expecting the country to be the same as it was back then. Some of it is, admittedly, but parts of it have changed a bit. I've heard rumours that one or two places have even got electricity.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Welcome too from California where there are lots of everything. I'm near San Francisco so lots less bible thumpers. They're here too of course - so we keep the doors locked. But here there seem to be plenty of rational folk too. (Living in a university town might warp my perspective, of course it also warps the taxes I pay.)
