Belated intro
I don't think I ever introduced myself. If I have, I forgot - because I am an old woman. I am allowed to forget stuff.

I read the bible when I was 10, right after Grimm's fairy tales. I thought it was a worse collection of fairy tales and filed both books away, never to be opened again except when the nuns made me. I went to a school in a convent. It was there that I learned to lie - when I couldn't think of any sins at the Wednesday afternoon confession. I made shit up that wouldn't earn me an afternoon of kneeling in church and praying. Like I ate a plum off the neighbor's tree. Only one hail Mary for that one!  (insert smilie with tongue hanging out - can't find one).

I spent a few years in my youth bumming through Europe, then settled here with my first husband who died of brain cancer (nasty disease, that!) I started, ran  and later sold several businesses of various description. Lost my ass twice, but did ok overall. I was married to my second husband for 27 years before he died of complications from bladder cancer almost 7 years ago now.

That's when I looked for atheism online - I had spent my life not labeling myself at all, just not believing in any religion and staying away from people who talked about religion a lot. I actually felt like the nuns were shaking their heads at me and I was doing something forbidden when I went to TTA and signed up. That turned out to be a great decision, the folks there helped me though some very trying times.

I was a mod at TTA, I has skillz at herding feral cats.

For real, hubby had a feral cat colony he took care of, trapped, spayed, and got used to going into an old trailer every evening to eat. Then they get locked in overnight (raccoons, cougars, foxes, coyotes and even a bear dwell here ) to keep safe. So every evening I herd feral cats into a trailer. Yes, I am nuts.

I also have 3 dogs, 2 parrots, one house cat and a Llama. Raining Cats & Dogs
The Llama is a survivor of my hubbies herd. He is old and cranky and a bit wild, just like me.  Cranky

I also have a flower garden and a veggie garden, all organic. They are getting a bit too much for me to tend though, so when the veggie garden became overrun by weeds last year, I didn't reclaim it this spring and have been growing weeds in raised beds this year.

The flower garden is pretty weedy too this year, due to an entire summer of thick smoke due to fires, that kept me cooped up.

Ok, I told the story, now get off my lawn! Smile

Welcome Woof!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Tongue Welcome back, DOM!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
