I went for a 1 week Jesus camp with my congregation but trip had to be cut short. Flooding in Fiji is quite bad at the moment. Thank God only 3 lives were lost.

Yes, praise be to god for three people losing their lives.

Don't forget to praise god for the flood itself before praising god for only killing three in the flood.

Judging by the stupidity dripping from each and every post of your's, I would have guessed they were brother and sister or perhaps mother and son.

Na, we don't practise that in my family.

Practice? Sounds like you have inbreeding down to a science. You don't need any more "practice."

My Church refused to give anything to the flood victims in my country apart from prayers. My [former] Pastor said that it was God's will for the flood to happen and we should not interfere in his affairs; just pray. I do not agree to this view. I don't think it was God's will for the flood to occur. But its even greater wrong not to help people who are suffering. I have dropped out of my Church for this reason. Nick told me to mention this incident here.

Dropping out of my Church does not mean I am no longer a Christian. In fact, I am now a stronger Christian than I ever was. My faith in God has been strengthened even more.

If it was God's will for the flood to happen, what's the point of praying? Apart from the self-affirming feeling of doing anything to help short of actually helping, I mean.

Glad to hear you're no longer within the sphere of influence of people whose job is to lie to you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Well a standard argument for pain and suffering is that it gives people the opportunity to do good, like fucking help those who have lost their homes.

Your pastor was a dick. You're better off out.

Don't care if you are still Christian, the point is that you thought for yourself. Well done, I'd give you a hug if I could.
Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.

I am thinking that there is some REAL help coming from Australia mate. Glad to see you are thinking for yourself.
