BBQ in the south is practically a religion. Granted, a far more useful religion than any of the agnry desert god shit they usually drone on about.

There is nothing "logical" about not causing harm to animals.
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

Me, living out here in ranch/feedlot/farming country, I still think I'm doing good to get t-bones for $5.99 (US) per POUND. You're paying that much for a KG! Wow!
There is one major nutrient that does not come from plants. That is vitamin B-12. Lack of vitamin B-12 leads to depression and fatigue, and long-term deficiency leads to brain malfunction or misdevelopment in foetuses and children. This shows me that humans evolved to eat meat. Human's have both incisors and canines in their teeth - indicating that we are omnivores. Certainly, one can get adequate vitamin B-12 from supplements - or have food which is fortified with vitamin B-12. It can be artificially synthesized, but that is a recent development (decades) in the time homo sapiens have existed. Lacto-ovo vegetarians can get adequte vitamin B-12 from their diets without a problem. Quote:It seems that every vegetarian who comes to this site says that. It's the holier-than-thou attitude that pisses me off the most. They are as bad as the fucking theists when it comes to that shit. Is your argument that most people here eat meat, and this is not a vegetarian site, therefore the arguments here are obviously going to be absolute shit? I don't agree if that's your point. I pointed out a number of flaws in some of the arguments here, but not all arguments on a site such as this are necessarily going to be that terrible. I'm not sure why you think so poorly of people such as yourself, but honestly not everyone has such poor arguments as you. While James Randi hasn't touched on this topic exactly, you should totally contact him as soon as possible. There's no fucking way he won't give you that million bucks for having some sort of magical body. Also, desire and instinct are not the same thing. You should educate yourself about what instincts actually are before claiming that they are what drive your behavior in this area. Minimalist Wrote:It's the holier-than-thou attitude that pisses me off the most. They are as bad as the fucking theists when it comes to that shit. Yeah, because you obviously never see that holier-than-thou attitude from any meat eaters. I think you may have a slight bias there, dawg. I didn't state that I don't have a holier-than-thou attitude. I'm fairly certain I do. I'm just saying that I'm definitely not the only one here who has one. Do you disagree? And calling me a dickhead? Fuck, you are one classy broad. I'm sure your intellectual arguments can only get better from here. Stay solid, broseph. Every Aussie bloke should have have an outdoor, stainless steel, gas barbecue which can be seen from space. The meal wast traditionally beef or pork sausages, made from fat off cuts, cereal and preservatives, plus huge shoulder 'lamb' chops. The barbecue was a 4 gallon drum with holes belted in with a pick and topped with a circular plough blade. Fuel;anything flammable lying around. Served with; white bread, potato salad, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and canned beetroot. Washed down with local long neck beer.. Today:cooked on a massive appliance which imparts great confidence in the male cook, but not skill Whole snapper, chicken and green Thai curry kangaroo sates, specialty sausages at $7.50 a pound (vs $1.50 a pound),no shrimp (prawns) Served with sourdough bread and focaccio, and seventeen kinds of salads from the latest gourmet magazine. Washed down with bottled water, four or five kinds of boutique beer, a nice Chablis or Reisling and a decent Cabernet- Sauvignon. Children are served indoors while they play video games.. |
