For lack of a better introduction to this topic, I was pondering today the origins of existence, but more specifically the property of existence.
It is true that the property of existence exists, and through this property things are able to exist. This seems tautologically true. My pondering brought me to a point of asking the question of, where or when or how did the property itself - that of existence - come from?
To put it another way, everything that exists has the property of existence. The question then becomes how does the property of existence exist, if it needs itself to exist?
Perhaps the property of existence is eternal, or perhaps the very idea that existence is a property is false. But I would appreciate any opinions on the matter.
