Banning the Burqa?

It did allow for exceptions. Just because I didn't mention them in that post doesn't mean they don't apply. I mentioned them in a later post (before you started replying to me and crying "ILLOGICAL"). Not my fault if you cannot follow the flow of discussion.

In any case, as I've said before, this wasn't an argument; it cannot be illogical. There is nothing illogical about the statement "customs and religions should be respected". It's an opinion, nothing more.

Quote:As for the specific fallacy you're guilty of, it's a type of appeal to tradition.
Where is my appeal to tradition? In no way have I argued "people have always worn burqas, therefore they should still wear burqas" or anything similar. I mentioned tradition, but I did not appeal to it. Unless you can point out where I made this fallacy, it is an invalid accusation. My argument for supporting the burqa is based on the rights of people to wear whatever clothing they want.

Quote:Do you seriously expect me to drop the names of every specific fallacy I see someone commit, though?
Yes. If you want to shout "ILLOGICAL" at people all day long, you'd better back up your assertions by pointing out the fallacies they use.

Quote:See, that's how you do it. Call the enemy a liar. That'll show the fucker!
You are not the enemy. Calling you a liar is giving you the benefit of the doubt, since the other alternative is simply that you are too caught up in your argument to notice you are making fallacy after fallacy, including trying to claim a non-argument is illogical.

Quote:I'm seriously going to go rape some mothers with my logical fallacies now, and I won't be brought back again by your dirty, dirty ways.
Have fun, I'll enjoy basking in all the kudos I get for refuting your points.
