Maintenance Success
May 28, 2012 at 10:37 am
Just a quick notice to let you all know that (as far as I can tell) the maintenance went well. We were offline for a few hours, but I've got the server up and running again. The first thing I did was to make sure the forums were back online and working. If they go down within the next 24 hours, it's probably just me correcting errors or re-configuring stuff, so leave it for a few minutes and try again.
As always, if you spot any errors, let me know.

The other forums are still down. I'm sure you know that, but I thought I would mention it just in case.

The god of Genesis? What, Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?
Oh btw, good work, exalted leader. Rather you than me doing all that stuff, but I'm glad we've got someone at the helm who pretends to knows what he's doing.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I think this whole "maintenance" thing was really a moderate ruse to get gratuitous kudos. Look at the OP.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I fixed an issue where new members couldn't register.
