Yeah ... I refuse on principle to show any measure of "respect" to something I cannot accept has any merit or reality.

But the fact is that if you rock up to some religious event (or even religious funded) then who are you to go bagging out their religion. You should be respectful and truthful.

coolmogo, the question was not to tell her position or how she feels about religion, but to let them know the truth if asked, "Do you go to church or believe in God" etc. etc.

Big difference...

Yeah I understand that but she should still be respectfull and just pray when everyone else does, even if it doesn't mean anything to her. If they ask her for her beliefs then of course go right out and tell them.

I thought about being respectful and at least act like I'm praying, but why. Do you think the majority of them would be respectful to me if they knew who I felt? There are a few women there who actually carry a bible with them and can quote it. That tells me they are probably ready to do an exorcism on me at any moment.
