I'm still leary of downloading movies from torrents because that's what I did when I got the copyright infridgment notice. Does the Peer Guardian thing really work? I've read reviews that say it does and some that say it doesnt.
Thanks for the help guys!

Peer Guardian must work since some anti-piracy organizations are pretty pissed at the company that makes the software.

I cant even remember the last time I downloaded anything illegal. It's not a matter of principles or anything like that just that I can't think of anything illegal worth downloading.

Sure I have (past tense) but I think all of us (all of us who bittorrent, peer to peer or whatever) need to be aware that the downloading of something that is not explicitly shareware, freeware or in some other way made public domain we are committing crime ... more to the point we are killing what it is we (presumably unless we just perversely "get off" on trying to beat the system) love to see, to use, to have so that if we continue to act that way we risk losing what we enjoy. Sure we can argue that the system is wrong, that we pay too much for music and movies or that the region system is wrong but the fact is THEY are the ones that own the music/movies, THEY are the ones that dictate what the cost/license is and IMO it is not possible to create a positive moral argument for stealing them.
I'm no angel but a year or two ago I wiped my extensive (and largely illegal) MP3 collection and what I have is now 100% owned (within my immediate family), I haven't downloaded anything for months now and that's the way I plan to keep it. I'm no saint and not fully up on everything but by the end of the year I will be.
