This is a brilliant question! I think the crazies will just say God believes itself exists, so God is therefore a theist, but I feel the same way as shehadri.
1. Theism does not demand belief in (a) creator, only in a divinity. So the answer to this question can't establish whether god is atheist or not.
2. Nothing says theist must believe in a divinity that is not himself. So whether god believes in a power higher than himself does not establish whether he is atheist.
3. Christian god appearently lack the wits to prevent occurance of things that displease him while claiming to be both omniscient and omnipotent. In geneal this degree of ineptness and dumbness is more closely correlated to theist mindset than the athist mind set.
I think the evidence of low intelligence suggests the Christian god is indeed an theist.
