ChrisAtian apologetics

ChrisAtian apologetics
I see that cristians often use the big bang theory to defend their beliefs stating something close to "see the creation story in the bible is very similar to what science states about he start of the universe.".

My question that I cannot find an answer to is when Chritians believed that the universe was static, did they say things like "see the universe is just the same as when god created it." I am sure they did but I want to find proof to be sure. Anyone know of an old Christian defender that used this argument before we knew the universe was dynamic?

Would very much appreciate some help on this one. Thanks.

Probably not because its demonstrably not true and everyone knows it.
The universe changes second by second, the idea that it'd stay the same since its creation... well its fiction.

Stars explode all the time and we can see them through the hubble telescope, that enough of a change for you?

Helpful. Could he tell me whether you were dropped or kicked as a child?

They're wrong. Obviously. The creation story in Genesis does not even remotely match the Big Bang model or what mainstream science accepts. There's not even a mention of the first stars creating the heavier elements from nuclear fusion reactions, the same matter that we're all made of, at all.

Matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed. In Genesis it elaborates how this god/word brought the cosmos out of nothing and gave it form. This is a violation of basic physics, namely the laws of conservation of mass and energy.

Let's not overlook the fact that the Big Bang model says nothing about the origin of reality/existence or the singularity that came before it. Its explaining the universe's early development. Those who assert that it is simply don't understand the that cosmological model is not a cosmogonical model.

I don't know. Static universe is no longer viable or considered to be the correct model reflecting our universe. I imagine if you read up on some old articles, old journals and old published books out-of-print you may just find extracts from what Christians of the time were proponent-ing back then I suppose.

Doesn't surprise me, after all we've got theists running around today who are asserting that the vastly-hostile-to-life universe is somehow finely-tuned for life, while oblivious to the overbearing fact that it's not. Undecided

I did, and he tells me even he didn't know why:

1. He did not exist and therefore can't do jackshit

2. Idiots like you keep thinking he does and could.
