Also. One thing I don't understand (because I actually don't want to think a people can be so barbaric) is why Americans continue to support war criminals as their leaders and continue even now to support unjust wars that rob innocent people of their liberty.

I won't defend America. That isn't my intention nor my prerogative.
I will, however, laugh without pause at the fact that you of all people are going to tell me I ought to be "taking my medicine", and that the "gullible" Americans are ignorant when it comes to religion or lack thereof.
I and some 18-21% of Americans (depending on the poll) are at least not seriously deluded in one aspect of life.

Still deluded. I can make up a list of facts about attacking principles of some religion and only the American atheists (maybe the British as well come to think of it) would actually believe it.

You can't blame the actions of the U.S. government on every citizen of the country. I think you'll find that most of the wars we've been in since the 50s were heavily disagreed with.
