Yeah, so you've got the name ElDinero and pictures of a man. All yours, detective.

It is me, of course, but it's not like it would be particularly difficult to fabricate.

With valid ID?

Anyway fuck you for acting like a child.. its 12 fucking characters. Mines like 30 and I learned it in a day.

Tiberius maybe new accounts that are made could still have the new requirements and the stubborn lot can keep whatever they have?

Fat lot of fucking bullies. Suck my ass.

If it was me, I'd probably would already dome the rm -rf command on the forum along ago.

Its funny that such a simple thing could raise such tantrums.

I hate it when things like this happen. Undecided

Not the password thing, the whole fall out thing. Long time members arguing with each other.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Over something fucking stupid as well. To think that some of the staff thought people would be more concerned with the fact that I took password hashes and tried to crack them. Nope, people are pissed when I try to make the forums more secure for everyone...jebus.

One new entry into my daily text log, one set of mnemonics added and an excellent passphrase later, I log back on...

Only to find people have pitched a bitch.

Seriously, it isn't that hard.

Use a password manager.

I don't -- that's why I spent some time mulling it to find a phrase that comes naturally. I found one.

Y'know what, on second thoughts, fuck you all if a change in password policy which will barely ever affect you causes you to leave. We don't need you on this site if you have that kind of shitty attitude. The staff made a decision, we're going by it, and a minority of pissed off members isn't going to change that.

To everyone else who supports the change; I apologise for being a pushover to some crybabies. I have grown some balls. Tiberius is back.

Yes. I pay for this site out of my own pocket. The staff are hand-picked out of the best people in the community; they have literally years of experience behind them. We sometimes make mistakes, and we always apologise for them. This isn't one of those times; the decision to increase password security is logical, and if you can't deal with it, don't deal with it.

Now I have to figure out which people changed their password so I can force the change on everyone else...
