No, I see no reason -even if there was a class of being(s) which created all that we see- why such a being should be the embodiment of everything "great". I have to suppose "great" is an evaluation based on our perspective and I see no reason to make ourselves the measure of what would be "good" from the point of view of a creator being. It is also possible that if such a class of beings existed they might just not be very good at it.
Of course, there is an insurmountable problem with the concept of a creator being, since one would have to ask as to its origins. Would we have to imagine yet an earlier class of creator beings which created our creator(s), and on back forever? If we are asking about origins, "so and so made us" just won't satisfy anyone who truly wants to know.
