Welcome

I'm not arab (whatever that means) but I'm atheist Big Grin

If I was more perfect than blizzard match-making I'd be matching you and Rayaan(a muslim member) to a fight(or gentle exchange of words).

I'd be eating the popcorn Big Grin

there are a lot of closeted atheists in Bahrain, the community treats them as "don't ask don't tell", the younger ones are more open about it & don't mind mentioning that they're atheists, especially if their families are more open minded.

while its not as dangerous to be an atheist in Bahrain as it is in most Arab countries, some people still don't want to talk about it because of the reaction they might get from their families (there are no honor killlings or such things in Bahrain), the more religious families might disown their relatives.

you would be surprised to know that I haven't talked to a single Bahraini atheist, I know this mostly from observation & second hand information, I might get into more detail in another time.

I have a question, do you plan on marrying a Muslim while pretending not to be Atheist?

Any ways welcome, I have family in Bahrain.

it wouldn't be that hard to argue with a Muslim, especially a religious one, it would be fun. Big Grin

I've actually thought about it, as long as she's not religious, actually, most of the women from my generation don't cover their hair, I know I don't have it as bad as other atheists in the middle east, but I would still prefer marrying an atheist.
