RE: Pascal's wager
What do you do in a meaningless universe?
You can commit suicide because your life is meaningless, but that is Absurd as it is a further meaningless act. You could pretend there is some meaning, god logic etc, but that is to switch off your mind, an absurd act of intellectual suicide, or you can try and find some meaning within yourself and party on dude.

It isn't. I laugh in the face of hell because it's made up and I ain't going there.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

On the flip side, you'll have deprived yourself of a lot of life's amazing flavors over a silly book that isn't real.

If I did choose to worship God, yes most likely I would be wasting my time but I could be avoiding an ETERNITY in hell. Since we are talking about ETERNITY doesn't that side win?

I especially love the inherent stupidity of the jesus freaks who insist that their"god" is all-knowing but is still stupid enough to be fooled by someone saying "I'll believe...just in case."

RE: Pascal's wager
Some problems I have with pascal's wager:

1) No religion accepts fake belief, so you cannot fake belief in a God.
2) There is different religions, so why appease one and not the other?
3) A True God would want you to be honest to yourself, so if you honestly don't believe in God, he would want you to remain honest with that.
4) Hell and God don't go together, if there is God, he is Merciful, if he is Merciful, then there is no hell. Simple as that.

A question that has gone trough my mind as well, then I figured I hadn't a damn to give about it.
