The punchline falls flat however, as being human means you are more often than not, an irrational, power-mad, prone to violence, intrinsically selfish greedy immoral bastard of a bipedal animal.
Cooperation seldom works, therefore brute force is employed. If we weren't self-serving then we wouldn't have survived this long, we would've gone extinct long ago as we died trying to put the environment and other self-preservation-driven species' interests first. The fact is that the chaotic universe is to blame. Any dream you have for a utopia will be quickly quashed the moment you try to make it a reality.
A short list of our most admirable traits, hehehe.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Quote:Cooperation seldom works, therefore brute force is employed Mao said "power comes from the barrel of a gun". This view is called 'a conflict theory' and I think far better reflects reality than the naive romanticism of 'consensus theory'. Quote:Conflict theories are perspectives in social science that emphasize the social, political, or material inequality of a social group, that critique the broad socio-political system, or that otherwise detract from structural functionalism and ideological conservativism. Conflict theories draw attention to power differentials, such as class conflict, and generally contrast historically dominant ideologies. It is therefore a macro level analysis of society. Karl Marx is the father of the social conflict theory, which is a component of the 4 paradigms of sociology.[citation needed] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_theory Do I want to be king? Of course not, I just want obscene wealth,so I can have power without glory or responsibility.
The republibertarianeo-conazi philosophy reduced to a cartoon.
It won't work anyway so fuck the poor.
I am a 'political animal', however I no longer believe in politics. There maybe political theories, but as these become dependant on the group that supports these theories, the practice is never consistent, and the theories become no more than chants to support one group or another.
The administration of power it seems to me has far more to do with the culture of a group than it has anything to do with a political theory. |
