RE: Anders Breivik Sentenced
Nice prison.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I don't think you've seen the kinds of prisons they have over there:

Yes I've read about their prisons, but that's not the prison. He's going to serve at Ila prison, not Halden. I saw an article by the BBC a few months back on Halden and their style of prisons. Can't find it now though :/ EDIT: must've been the Guardian. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/m...n-in-world

The BBC has photos here, of his prison http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19371593 . But if what frankie says is true about isolation, his cell may look like the cell below, as that is apparently what Ila's isolation cells are like.

The kind of prison is irrelevant.

People are sent to prison AS punishment and to protect society, not to BE punished. Thinking

Give him a high spec PC instead of a laptop and hes basically living my life.
Wonderful.
Maybe if I ever get tired of living "free" I'll imigrate to Norway and commit mass-murder.

He has 3 rooms - one with a gym, one with bed/toilet and one with a desk and laptop with no internet access.

He's got more personal space than I do in the place I rent.

Of course, my door locks from the inside, so I'm not complaining.

Well, what kind of a place, would you propose for this man to go through the rest of his sentence? I believe people think that he has too much luxury for a person that has killed an awful lot of people, and he be raped and shanked in a prison full of large black people. Well, at least he won't be having access to any contraband goods, and I'm sure that smoking is not legal in Norwegian prisons either.

I think few would need protection from him when he doesn't have a gun.

I also think he would not commit suicide. He seems of the physically cowardly type whose only courage comes only from assurance of his own physical security.

RE: Anders Breivik Sentenced
It seems to me that people who blithely observe 'nice prison' have probably not spent much time in one,or know anyone who has.
