I think the most horrible thing about this hate group is that they make every serious discusion on the subject of sexism impossible.
They will insist to be part of the debate and will declare any debate on the subject on which they are not involved for invalid.
And when debates on the subject take place between ernest people, some individuals might also disregard that debate since the subject was made "anoying" by that hate group.
Sexism is real and exists, but this radical over the top fashist aproach on the subject will only make it easy for some individuals to disregard the subject as unimportent on basis of the radical approach of others.
They make people who realy fight sexism look bad, or distort their efforts and work.

That's fine with me as long as you understand a few things about me and, from what I've seen, the rest of this forum.
1) While we want the forum to feel comfortable, we aren't going to censor people in the name of making it a safe space. We will discuss topics like rape, misogyny, misandry, homophobia and classism and we don't do so exclusively from the "these-things-are-bad-m'kay?" perspective.
2) When somebody says something crazy or over the top or offensive, you can be damn sure other people will speak up about it. No, we won't silence you, but we'll let you know you're being stupid.
3) There are men here and white people here and Americans here and able bodied people here and straight people here and while none of their opinions are any more valid than the opinions of anyone else, their opinions are also not any less valid than the opinions of anyone else. A good statement is a good statement regardless of the privilege level of the person its coming from.

Er... Let me retell that story: the folks I hang out with at The Amazing Atheist's fan forum decided to start a trolling campaign, and I stuck around after the smoke cleared because
-There are a lot of Foucault fans over there, and that stuff looks interesting
-the people there are pretty nice if you don't rub them the wrong way
Alternatively: no worries.

Oh, yeah, I hear ya. I've talked to them in other areas and they can be alright most the time. Once they get on their social justice soap box, though, game over.
I'm not saying concerns over social justice are bad, but when you allow your concern over disenfranchised groups to lead you to hate everyone else, something's wrong. Open minds are important; If you have an honest, good faith criticism of my belief, whether those beliefs are social or religious or political or whatever, I'm more than open to hearing it. I want my beliefs to be able to withstand criticism and if they can't, I want to either tweak them to the point that they do or abandon them entirely.
It's frustrating to see how closed minded they are also because they're wearing the 'atheist' label. Gives me a bad name, y'know? I don't know how they came to become atheists, but it doesn't seem to be the same way I did; I make a conscious effort to quesion everything and if a belief or idea doesn't stand up to my questioning, I don't believe it. That's how I rejected religion and that's why I reject their radical feminist agenda. Yet when you question feminism to them, you suddenly become a heritic. They obviously don't apply critical thinking skills to everything and don't encourage others to apply critical thinking to everything or else they wouldn't buy into such one sided social justice philosophy.
I might consider going there, but I think I've already made quite a reputation with a few of them and can't imagine they would really accept me. I suppose I could use a dummy email address and get in under a sock puppet name, but that seems like way more trouble than it's worth (besides which, I'd be afraid to post on their forum without first having my post approved by no less than 3 civil rights attorneys).
