*raises a hand*
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I'm still not sure what gives these people the idea that there's this strong anti-women, sexist undercurrent among skeptics/atheists. They keep claiming that but I never see any solid evidence for it. A few noisy trolls on the internet is hardly representative of the whole.

That's just proof that you're part of the privileged cabal.

It's like the fundamentalist Christians who claim there's this giant bias against Christianity; they feel like everyone hates them so they go out of their way to find that hate. If you look that hard for something, you're going to find it whether it's there or not. Trust me, if they wanted to find sexism and rape threats within a feminist conference, and they looked for it this hard, they would undoubtedly find it.

They could undoubtedly find evidence of Sasquatch were they to go looking hard enough as well.

ETA: No, no, no - Jesus Fucking Christ, I'm not implying that there's any resemblance between feminist conference attendees and Sasquatch. Put away the pitchforks, please.

Now I want to try to convince a group of crypto-zoologists that a yeti was seen at Skepticon. Should be good for some lulz.

No, any true ™ cryptozoologist is going to know that Skepticon 2012 was well outside the reported range of the Yeti.

One of these would be a more credible troll.

Wow. It says something when the woman who basically founded Atheism+ is backing away from feminism!

Well, I never saw Portlandia before, but luckily I have Youtube. I open a new tab and look it up. Yeah, I'm pretty confident that she's onto something there.

Obviously, they started a thread about it and, yet, none of them had the insight to look at what she said and do a little self evaluation! One person tried to start on that and was instantly banned for it!

Ask you me, if I wanted to go out of my way to make a movement that's going to be stagnant and repulsive, that's exactly what I would do: automatically reject any criticisms without a thought as to whether or not there's any validity to what they say.

Oh boy, these madcap individuals are pots calling the kettles black, aren't they.. And yet another senseless banning. Honestly, what do these people do IRL, still live in their own twisted crazy-bubbles? How can anyone be so proud of belonging to such a rabid cult? Morons..
