Amusingly, even though it wouldn't really matter if you did (if we believe the stories that are told) you simply can't bring yourself to do so, can you? For some reason, their superstitions are not required to produce a "decent" person, even by their own ridiculous standards.

If we were all created in gods image then we are only capable of doing what god does. Therefore good or evil really doesn't matter they are both the will of god.

Perhaps you've given too much to the term "image".

I've always wondered what that verse means. Does that mean God looks like us? Then is he white? Or black? Or asian? is God male or female? What hair and eye color does God have? What about build?
There's so much variation from person to person, I don't quite get how we could be created in god's image.

I assume theist originally meant that "his image" was actually a way of saying you are endowed with the same reasoning, understanding, capabilities and knowledge. Before they changed it into god's white "ect" because people liked being superior to other's better. In truth in his image literally makes no sense because everyone looks variably different. God must have many face's, I wonder if he tricks women into bed like zues.

Strange, pretty sure that the folks that dreamt the narrative would have had a word for "image" and a word for "thoughts". "Likeness", would probably be the more ambiguous and useful word in this context.

Image, thoughts, likeness all equally make no sense. One cannot understand god's thoughts for he works in mysterious ways, one is not immortal nor all powerful, all knowing and all seeing so one is not made in his likeness.

Check out my avatar, it's the Hebrew letters for God that was used. Spelled vetically instead of right-left. (I think it's quite poetic)
There are also some who believe that the "image" of God is God's imagination. (gives the universe a whole new perspective)
And then the are those who say that the "image" simply means attributes. The ability to reason, love, have compassion, etc.
If anyone tells you what you "must" believe, ignore them, including atheists...

As you can see per these verses, only evil people don't come towards the "light" and believe in Jesus.
Here is a basic argument that in my opinion is sound and refutes Christianity:
If Christianity is true, then the Bible is true.
If the Bible is true, then these verses are true.
If these verses are true, then all disbelievers in the son of God are evil
There exists disbelievers that are good.
Therefore these verses are not true.
Therefore the Bible is not true.
Therefore Christianity is not true.
As for proof of "There exists disbelievers that are good and love the light". I know my family are good but disbelieve in Christianity for reasons unrelated to evil and hating the light of God or loving the darkness. I'm sure many people know people that are disbelievers in Christianity but are good people.
Cristianity can be true while the Bible is false...
