The International Humanist and Ethical Union addressed the issue of states that condone faith-based violence should not be allowed to sit on the UN's Human Rights Council.

Good for them, too bad it probably won't happen.

Well, the UN doesn't really have authority... It does to an extent, but it can't enforce anything, not really. I think we might be moving into a new era where we are going to have to re-imagine the UN, like after WWII when we recreated the League of Nations to form the UN. Global climate change is going to push that envelope in my humble opinion. After all, we're all stuck on this one hunk of rock.
