Reading the bible could be a good cure to Christianity. Just keep questioning.
What type of Christian music are you listening to?

You are probably just coming out of a phase where you felt distant from God. I've been like that before, but always ended up turning back eventually.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

I am sure you can enjoy a good movie about, zombies, vampires, etc. Does that make you believe in monsters? If you like the music, then appreciate it for what it is, entertainment.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

Well there is nothing wrong with reading the bible. I read the bible all the time, most of the time I find it to be pretty dull. Nothing wrong with that though, I also think Origin of Species is pretty dull. I've read the bible, book of mormon and most of the koran. Not once in my adult life have a felt a spiritual moment reading any of them.
There is nothing wrong with reading the bible because there is nothing wrong with reading ANY book. It's called being well educated. You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you came from a branch of Christianity that highly discouraged to look into other religions or cults. One of those branches that believes in witchcraft etc.
As for Christian Rock, I think it sucks balls and attracts b-level musicians by is very nature. Why limit your music topically? However if you enjoy it, why stop?

In response to the original post; what made you leave Christianity and what making you want to go back. Don't you think it's a good idea to examine these things?
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

If you're gonna believe, you're gonna believe. If you're not going to believe, you're not going to believe.
This is a product of rational discourse, not subversive messages. Either you're credulous or you aren't. Nothing in the world we could say to change that, that's all you, amigo.
Remember, we're not Christians. We're not a religion. We're not going to sit there and say "YOU'RE RELAPSING FROM YOUR UNBELIEF, COME BACK TO THE LIGHT OF REASON! COME BACK! IT WAS JUST A PHASE, WE WILL WELCOME YOU BACK WITH OPEN ARMS!" We're going to let you make your own decision, because THAT is a very common theme in atheism, is an individual finding their own way and not being told to follow some other way that people tell them they should "simply because."

I feel like i am being sucked back into religion. I was just counting my CD's and i have 186 Christian albums and only 89 non-Christian albums. Any advice will be most welcome!
I don't understand why music would make you want to become religious? All I listen to are my favourite bands that also happen to be Christian, because as a former Christian I limited myself to Christian artists.
Music can make you feel a certain way and even inspire you to do something in some way. When I used to be a Christian, the lyrics would obviously resonate with my faith and I would be encouraged to 'march on' and go about bringing heaven to earth. Now the same lyrics motivate me to pursue my dreams and to believe in myself. Not once has this music made me want to become a Christian again though. I don't see why it should.
