I can assure you that it has been under discussion for a while now, no need to feel special and singled out Tongue
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Yes, there has been a heap of "Holy shit. We are so mean to newbs." since before I got here years ago, I think.

Damn; my post count is gonna be seriously reduced!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Right, like you were ever the one to be mean straight away to newcomers Smile

Good point well made, though it just means I've been far too subtle in intro threads...

I like your use of the phrase "straight away" as well, suggesting I wait for them to settle in before I pounce!

You, Stimbo, are a gentleman. Even your insults have a certain charm Big Grin

Thank you, I do try my best... then when I've got my breath back, I try again.

This doesn't mean we can't challenge any points made in the introduction does it? Intros often have arguments for the individual's beliefs in them.

I think I can answer this, as I spoke to Tiberius a bit about the rule change after it was made. Of course, staff will correct me if I am wrong, but it's not disagreeing that is the problem. The problem is "rudeness." In this case, that means being mean, really. Adrian put it somewhere here or in the rules as being welcoming. I guess it is kind of like disagreeing with someone who is a guest in your house. You do it politely.
