New Here! Hello

Ain't very good at this intro thing so:
1) coming on 50 yr old metaller/rocker living in North East England, UK. Also original Punk
2) Happily married
3) Always been Atheist
4) Birthday 6 th Jan, just what I wanted, Epiphany
5) Always been scientifically minded
6) Don't have alot of time to blog, only do 1 other blog site, thoughts.com
7) Why come to an Atheist blog site, tired of all the religious crap posted elsewhere
8) Do not see Atheism as Religion or belief; it's a style of living
9) Straight-up truthful speaking person. I don't tolerate fools.
10) Won't get into long drawn out what-ifs. If you can't make your point in a paragraph or two forget it
11) Outside of that I'm pretty cool.
12) Don't know what Atheism sites talk about so...if I'm not going to fit in given any of the above let me know now..no hard feelings.....

Hi Rockerroy and welcome. Me 59 year old from Merseyside, happily divorced.
This is an ok site with much to debate plus some insufferable types.....but doesn't that reflect life in general?

Welcome to the forums Rocker,
13 is my favorite number followed closely by 666. When the subdermal implants come we will use the number to properly orient the scan direction just like they did with bar codes. It is just a number that happens to be a palindrome when converted to binary 0110 0110 0110.
We talk about god here an awful lot in all its forms: Invisible Pink Unicorn (BBHH), FSM, Eris Discordia, Allah, YHWH, Rabbit's Vacuum, and apparantly Grumlins are in there too.

Cheers...Just tired on the other blog site of Religion crammed down your throat. Not only that...it's not original...I mean they copy and paste tons of crap from whatever version of the bible or testament that fits the bill and post it...I mean...is that a blog?????/

You don't just convert each digit and separate by spaces. Binary is a numerical system not a character system...
Likewise, 13 is 1101

Ahh, good catch. I was thinking about 6 6 6 that is used as a locating feature on some barcodes.
There was a rash of Christians in my church that were all freaked out that we were somehow in the end times because the "mark of the beast" was being used in bar codes. I thought it was just garbage until I spoke to my dad who worked for Hewlette Packard. One of his jobs was to design barcode readers and the number 6 is 0110 so it works to place three of them in a barcode as a locating feature because then you know where the code begins, ends and the orientation by offsetting the middle 6.
