With the greatest respect, it only seemed to make sense after Edwin Hubble came up with the idea. I'm familiar with the passages that you are referring to and it's a huge leap of the imagination that's needed to interpret them in this way.

If the Quran really does predict the Big Bang theory why did it not form the basis for a scientific theory centuries ago when Islam was at the centre of scientific study. Unfortunately, like many of these things, they can only be interpreted a certain way after the event and not before.
well that's not actually right , lets take another facts from quran like Iron is not from earth and it came from outer space , when scientist discovered that, muslims already know it so its not a new discovery for us , and science is developing every day and we cant discover all the science facts in quran in one day

and the fact that Quran has those facts isn't going to be changed either people know that fact or not , its still there 1400 years ago.

in another hand, i got the concept of evolution much better right now than before, thank u all

but there's two things i don't get , most of u said there's no start for universe or creation , why is there a start for the tree of evolution ? the protist is a start isn't it ??

u all seem to believe in something u haven't saw either like the man-ape or dinosaurs

and the big bang theory, if something exploded, what was that thing ?

There was no explosion, the big bang was not big and did not bang.

No, if you would bother to open some science books you would know this. It not like documentation on the big bang is that hard to find.

No (and I agree with Leo about read some science books) ... the term, "big bang" was coined by Sir Frederic Hoyle who did not like the theory (he was a proponent of an alternation hypothesis called "Steady State") ... unfortunately the name stuck.

Depends ... stuff that is agreed by interested parties usually ... if it is hotly contested then no.

Whatever it is a useful place to start.

Well this is just plain WRONG!

Iron is part of the Earth and always has been. Most of it sank to the centre of the early Earth during a time called the Iron Catastrophe which is why we have a magnetic field.

The idea that Iron fell to the Earth from space is ludicrous.

I'll keep it simple for now but may elaborate later, or others may.

1) Nothing started the Universe because in order for there to be a beginning there must have been a time before. As not only matter and space was created at the big bang but time itself there could not have been a before and so there could have been no cause.

ok back to darwinian explanation , matter, time and space created at the big bang.
so whats the difference between a man saying god create everything and a man saying big bang created everything ?

Not much except that it isn't a scientific explanation ... science deals with the testable, the explainable, verifiable. If someone did believe that they (especially when claiming a god created first life) tend to be referred to as theistic evolutionists. There's nothing specifically wrong with that, it's not an view I agree with, but if you are like that you're more-or-less in the same (or not so very different) camp to us.

Because to claim that a God created everything requires an extra step. Who created God? If the answer to that is that God has always existed why not just save a step and say the Universe has always existed, in one form or another.

There is no reason for a God. Nor is there any evidence. The Universe looks and behaves exactly as it should if there were no God.
