Fuque le French.

Fuque le French.
I actualy really like the French, both our cultures French - German) are very conected and we share a great lot of history with each other.
So furthering the franco-german releationship of post world war 2 friendship is very importent to me.

But since they have elected Hollande, they are becoming weird.
Their fiscal policy is nonsence, and they dont seem to get it.

But what really pissed me off today, was the massive participation in todays anti-homosexual protests all over France, after a bill will be voted on which could legalise same-sex marrige and gay-adoption on a federal level.

It throws me back into my (sterotypical) thinking of all catholic european nations, as backwards hopelessly conservative dumps.

Why are the streets of Paris tree-lined?

FYI, President François Gérard Georges Nicolas Hollande is NOT connected to my beautiful country in any way shape or form ...

Nice implying you cannot disagree with a person without somehow fundamentally disagreeing with democracy.

Do you always poison the well?

You don't have to like the decisions made, it's not like I agree with starving people to death with sanctions but America does it anyways.

That's besides the point.

We're discussing your act of implying that criticism of a politician is a criticism towards the institution of democracy.

"It will happen anyways" is immaterial to objecting both logically and emotionally to acts done by others.

I cannot change what the Ugandans are doing in their persecution of homosexuals, but I can object to it nonetheless.

I love France, but it is driven by strife. If one French voice says a thing the others feel it their duty to disagree, you would be hard pressed to find one issue that has not set the crowds out onto the streets. Maybe as a brit my country people could learn a lot rather than their usual roll over and die attitude. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy them having a good argument.

Then you must realize even though it is still a horrible persecution, they have still come a long way from burning or castrating people. I also object to it but you can only get people to change so much.

For the 4 years the Germans squatted in Parisian brothals, the Tricolour flew over French barracks in Berlin for the next 67 years.
