Going to Hinesville Georgia, need things to do

I'm going back to Hinesville again for a month and a half, and this time I actually want something to do. My girl is due to give birth on the 11th or there abouts, and once the baby is born I want to make the most of the short time we have. Looking after babies is a breeze for me, so I'm not concerned with being too busy to go anywhere.

Last time we got as far as River Street in Savannah, but that was the height of it. I tried looking for things to do in both Hinesville and Savannah, but couldn't come up with anything that either of us are remotely interested in. Most of the "attractions" seem to center around historic military sites, which, considering my girl is an army medic, would have been like a bus-man's holiday.

So, is there anyone on the forum who's familiar with the area, and can you suggest any interesting places to visit? Thanks in advance.

No matter. What the fuck is wrong with River St.? Good food, good drink, good company???? Enjoy and have fun. How can you not have a good time in Savannah? Hinesville is your fucking problem (it's a 40 minute drive away). Take care of your obligations, but damn; don't miss having fun in Savannah.

What I mean is, I don't want us stuck on a military base the whole time. It will be a while before we see each other again, once I leave. Luckily her sister will be there to chauffeur us around, so all we need to worry about is feeding, burping and changing the baby every 2 hours.

River St is great, but there has to be more to Savannah than one street. Shit, even Belfast has more to offer; when we're not shooting and blowing each other up.
