Who says that? I'd be very skeptical of that view, but I'm not a professional clinical psychologist. Are you thinking of schizoaffective disorder? That's when two disorders are co-morbid, I believe--like having strep throat and the flu at the same time.
Of course, extremely bipolar individuals can suffer from temporary bouts of psychosis, and schizophrenic individuals can have emotional outbursts that resemble mood swings--particularly in stressful social situations. But, from what I recall, the illnesses have totally different etiologies--to the extent that we understand them.
Autism, in any form, likewise is not directly related to schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
OP, be careful about accepting this diagnosis. The far end of the spectrum is littered with people whose Aspergers is really in question. However, if you find the therapy helpful, then who am I to judge? Good luck with it and remember: there's no "right" way to socialize with people. Relax. (But don't take your clothes off in public places.
