Quite the opposite. Research has shown that the extremely high pressures and temperatures of impact, whilst destroying many of the organic compounds, actually create even more complex compounds vital for life.

Haha, that's almost like a superhero movie. When mutation comes from some nasty accident lol.

Interesting that more pressure can lead to more life... but, isn't that possibly kind of analogous to evolution? Where when there's more pressure there's more struggle and when there's more struggle there's more diversity?

I'm not entirely sure about what I just said lmao, it's either complete bullshit or there's a small fraction of substance in it - forgive me I'm confused right now lol.
