What is a woman that doesn't have menstruation?

amenorrhea..That's when women get a period halt for a long time.

amenorrhea occurs when a woman doesn't have a regular period either because she exercises too much, eats too few calories or both. In order to have regular periods women need to consume a certain number of calories and maintain around 16 percent body fat or more. If a woman has too little body fat the ovaries stop producing estrogen and the woman stops menstruating.

When thinking about it, many starvations took place during that era, it is possible that women did witness period halts during that era, which why the verse was revealed to the prophet.

What I see obviously is that, the verse speaks about women who got they period stopped for natural reasons due to age, and the same sentence goes to women whom their period didn't stop totally, but it stopped (i.e, their age is not known for period stoppage).

But this is my own personal understanding.I don't see anything points to children. Hence the word (Women) in the beginning of the verse doesn't refer to a child. Because god also mentioned the word (wife). We know how accurate the quran is..

If god used "wife", I would understand that this verse might mean children..

But women ? no. Arabic speaks for itself, children are not meant here.

Response: I don't really know what you are asking, but I think I do so I'll give you this answer.

In islam, it is permitted to marry, meaning to write a marriage contract even with a child who has not menstruated yet, or is prepubescent. However, it is not permitted to have any sexual relation or even live with them. When they reach maturity and puberty, they can consent to the marriage, or refuse it.

So concerning the verse, the verse says that the waiting period of getting together after divorce is the same period as the time of menstruating. Since prepubesents do not menstruate, then the waiting period is three months.
