The doctors did not need any help from a bunch of assholes praying.

Yes, but large number of people professing to pray for her might create an environment which deters the Taliban from trying to shoot her again and making her need the services of doctors again. Any real doctor should make it his objective to make his patient not need him again, so in this the doctor is helped by the prayers.

And in lies the problem. Until, if ever, our species reaches a mass understanding, if it ever will, that this is nothing more than tribalism, this shit will continue. Personally I am tired of it. I think one can accept differences and common law at the same time.
