What would make you believe?

RE: What would make you believe?
I find that Islam is way too culturally different. Imam, halal.. hadith? No idea what's going on, and this religion is supposed to be a universal truth? This is why no religion can be the truth, because they spawn out of a particular cultural context, language(s) and time & place. There's too many variables to sort through which deteriorates the initial message, as the initial message is embedded into a mixture of things that ultimately will change and evolve as humanity progresses and evolves culturally etc..

Basically, nothing will ever convert me because they're all too tedious to have to deal with. They simply aren't deserving of the title of "true story" because if they actually were the truth and the world looked how the Holy book describes the world, then we would have been unified under one religion long ago.

* in the Quran, there is scientific knowledge unknown prior to its writing (once again unfabricated). And when I say unknown prior to its writing, I don't mean the stuff that ancient Greeks knew but Medieval Europe didn't. I'm talking shit like quantum mechanics, DNA, that sort of thing.
* there were real miracles, and not just arrangements in food that look like Arabic calligraphy or crows whose caws sound vaguely like "Allah" (and yes, there are people who claim these prove Islam)
* If Allah showed up, and probably did the same shit he did to Mohammed.
* If Aliens on another planet turned out to be muslims.

That's the sort of shit that could convert me. But, of course, none of that's happened.

Ok so just to clarify you wouldn't believe in islam if every year angels visited earth spoke to you personally and showed you miracles and telepathically told you islam is correct along with doing this with every other individual person on earth, and the quran was magically transformed by them each year to be politically correct and all deviations, mistakes from translations were put right?

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Well, maybe I wouldn't trust the angels, but if translations kept changing independent from the translators, that would definitely be something.

By the way I'm not trying to trick anyone. I'm not a muslim and also I wouldn't be able to make this come true.

I was having a debate with a muslim and he asked me what would make islam true for me, and i mentioned the angels and the quran being updated on a yearly basis, and he said but not all atheists would agree this is proof, i guess he was right about that, i personally though would see this as good enough proof at least to go along with the religion and believe until proven otherwise, angels performing magic tricks and talking to me personally once a year is just as much evidence as i have to believe anything else that's happening on this earth.
